The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued an advisory to students appearing for the 2026 board examinations, urging them to stay away from social media rumours and focus on their preparation. The announcement was made by the board’s Examination Controller, who also confirmed that Class 12 students will no longer be able to request post-result verification of marks from 2026 onwards.

The development comes as CBSE introduces major reforms in its evaluation process, including a fully digital marking system aimed at improving accuracy and speeding up result declaration.

CBSE Warns Students Against Social Media Rumours

CBSE Controller of Examinations Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj advised students not to rely on social media platforms for exam-related information. He noted that misleading videos and posts claiming question paper leaks often circulate online during the examination period.

According to the board, such content is frequently created to gain views and followers rather than provide genuine information. Students were encouraged to trust only official CBSE announcements and guidance from teachers or schools.
