Navi Mumbai, India: A tragic accident occurred in Navi Mumbai when a section of a building’s ceiling collapsed during a private tuition class, resulting in the death of a 13-year-old student and injuries to several others. The incident took place in the Koparkhairane area on Thursday evening, triggering panic among students, parents, and residents.
According to officials, the accident happened inside a ground-floor apartment where a local teacher was conducting a tuition session for neighborhood children. Around 4:30–5:00 p.m., a portion of the concrete slab from the upper floor suddenly gave way and crashed into the room where the class was in progress.
Student Succumbs to Injuries
Emergency services were immediately alerted, and rescue teams from multiple fire stations rushed to the scene. Several students who were trapped under debris were quickly pulled out and taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.
